| Every Labor Day weekend Seattle has a music festival. I took my kids, a friend of theirs, and my son's new gf. or at least she was this morning. We met up with friends. Big groups are funner! we saw Katy Perry, All American Rejects, Iglu and Hartly, Otep, and De La Soul. At Otep I saw some chic pulled from the crowd. She was trippin ballz. At first I thought she had got smashed in a mosh. But I could tell her anxiety started to peak and then come in waves. She was on something heavy, like lsd or ecstasy. Security head their heads up their asses. 6 of em standing around doing nothing but talking about her and what happened (not what's happening Now, which is More Important), while friends were talking to her. Nobody was in control. I took the nearest Kind/motherly looking security and insisted the girl be removed. As soon as she was out of the atmosphere things would change for her. I should have talked her down but I lost track of her. I'm just surprised that there were that many people focused on one situation and None of them knew the simplest thing to do. fyi if she's trippin that much on lsd or ecstasy it's unlikely you're actually going to get her to a hospital and anything "out" of her. It's already in there. and everyone I've talked to who has been sedated under those conditions have simply come out worse. 2 more days of the music festival... | ||
